“Rangayana should take initiatives to take plays to every household,” said theatre and serial artiste Shivaji Rao Jadhav. He was speaking during an interaction programme held as part of B.V. Karanth Yuva Rangothsava at Rangayana yesterday.

Jadhav said that Rangayana has enacted some of the best plays in the past 25 years and it should again stage the plays which are popular. “Apart from shaping our personality, theatre is also a medium to interact with the society. I have grown along with Rangayana which has made me achieve great sucess in this field.”

Speaking on the occasion, Ranayana Director Janardhan said that Rangayana’s aim was to the take the plays to every household. Rangayana Deputy Director S.I. Bhavikatti, Rangothsava Convenor Saroja Hegde were present on the occasion.

Later the students of Maharaja College staged the play ‘Huliya Neralu’ written by Dr. Chandrashekara Kambara. The play was directed by Santosh Halemani and was assisted by Y.C. Shivu.
