Mysore, Feb. 20 (KK&DM)-Chief Minister's Parliamentary Secretary and MLA S.A. Ramdas toady said that he would lead an official delegation to the Chief Minister on Feb. 25 and hold discussions with him for resolving the power and water crises in city.

This was disclosed at a meeting with the officials of Mysore MCC, MUDA, CHESCom and VVWW at his office in Vidyaranyapuram in connection with power and water crises.

Corporators Nagendra and M.V. Ramprasad, who raised the issue of erratic water and power supply in the city, expressed concern about the grim situation that may prevail in the forthcoming summer months, if this trend continued.

Ramdas, after hearing their concerns, took the officials to task, including VVWW AEEs Karigowda and Vishwanath, CHESCom AEE Narasimhegowda and JUSCO's Arnab Ghosh.

The CHESCom officials on their part expressed their helplessness saying that water pumping stations were affected 150 times in December last due to power failure and this number increased to 486 in January this year. Also, the Kadakola Sub-Station was scheduled to get 88 MW while Belavadi Sub Station 106 MW of power. But they are now receiving only half of their stipulated supplies and this was the main reason for the power supply crisis, they said.
