Bar-coded passes mandatory for all
Mysore, Sept. 25 (KCU&KK)- The entry to Mysore Palace on the day of Dasara procession will be immaculately streamlined on the lines of Republic Day (R-Day) parade in New Delhi by issuing bar-coded passes to one and all.
This was announced by Dasara Special Officer and Deputy Commissioner Harsha Gupta and Dasara Procession Sub-Committee Chairman and Police Commissioner Sunil Agarwal while briefing Police Inspectors and ACPs on preparations for Dasara procession in front of the Palace here today.
Explaining the nature of the passes, they said "the passes will bear a bar-code with the gate number of the Palace clearly mentioned on it. A bar decoding machine will be installed at every gate manned by technicians of an outsourced agency. The passes have to be carried compulsory by everyone including the top brass of any department or VIPs. Hence the Police will be spared from altercations with the visitors. The bar decoding machines will be switched off a few minutes before the commencement of procession to prevent late-comers."
"Exclusive enclosures will be created for dignitaries, invitees and media persons with separate entrances to avoid confusion. The Police personnel not drafted for the procession and their families will be requested to watch the rehearsal of procession on the previous day," they said.
