The II PUC results in Mysore district has improved compared to previous year with district securing 12th position with a 70.70 pass percentage. Out of the 32,403 students, 16,578 were boys and 15,825 were girls. Prathiksha Nayak of Sadvidya College has emerged topper in the district with 589 marks. Prathiksha is a PCME student. She is the daughter of L. Nayak, a retired Bank Manager and Sabita Nayak, residents of Siddhartha Nagar. Prathiksha had also emerged topper in SSLC examination previously. She has secured 100 marks in both Physics and Mathematics. Prathiksha has been able to come out in flying colours without attending to any tuition.
According to Prathiksha, the support from her parents, sister Deeksha Nayak and guidance from lecturers has contributed to her success story. She dreams of becoming a scientist after completing her studies from an IIT.
Suhas Rao of Sadvidya college has secured 585 marks in PCMB and has secured the second position. Sumedharavi has secured 583 marks in PCME and special about her is that she has secured 100 marks in all optional subjects. This apart, Sadvidya College has secured a total of 96.65 pass percentage where 193 students have passed with distinction.
Marimallappa College has secured 96 pass percentage with M.R. Deepa of science stream emerging college topper with 583 marks. Ranjana has topped in Commerce with 581 marks and Kavya has topped in Arts with 545 marks.
