With a view to help officials posted on election duty to exercise their franchise in the ensuing Assembly elections, the district administration has made arrangements to provide them the facility of casting votes through postal ballot, said Deputy Commissioner C. Shikha.

In a press release, the DC has said all officers, staff, Police personnel, KSRTC drivers, conductors and others deputed for election duties can approach the Returning Officers of their respective constituencies where a Nodal Officer has been appointed for the purpose.

These officers have been appointed in the jurisdiction of Mysore City Police Commissioner, SP, Chief Superintendent of Central Jail and Divisional Traffic Controller of city and rural KSRTC services.

She has also said that help desks have been opened at all offices of Returning Officers of all the eleven constituencies in the district and officials posted for election duties can avail the facility by submitting a certified letter from the District Election Officer mentioning the serial number of their constituency, serial number in the voter’s list and the part number along with the EPIC number in Form 12 before Apr. 22 to the respective Nodal and Returning Officers.
