Mysore, July 16 (RK&KMC)- The Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has taken up the development of four parks in Vijayanagar 3rd Stage at a total cost of Rs. 1.30 crore during the financial year 2009-10.
The spaces earmarked for the development of four parks in A1, A, B and C blocks of the residential layout are being provided with lawns at a cost of Rs. 80 lakh and laying of interlocking cobble-stones on the walking pathways at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh.
The MUDA had in the year 1990-91, distributed 2,600 sites in Vijayanagar 3rd Stage (A1, A, B, C, D, E, F and G blocks) of which, more than 1000 sites have been occupied with houses and other buildings, thus requiring a lung space for the residents.
The approximate amount of contract for the development of each of the four parks in A1, B, C and A blocks is Rs. 20 lakh. The park in A1 block measuring 14,150 square metres is being developed by Contractor Y.H. Lokesh. The park in B block measuring 10,314 square metres and C block measuring 21,000 square metres are developed by Contractor Arun Kumar. D block’s park that measures 15,811 square metres is developed by Krishna.
