Mysore, Mar. 23- Shaji Mathew has been nominated as the new Chairman of CII Mysore Zone for the year 2010-11 while Biswajit Mitra as Vice-Chairman.
Shaji Mathew is currently Associate Vice President and Head Delivery– Manufacturing, Infosys Technologies Ltd. He joined Infosys in 1992 when the company had 250 people.
During his tenure at Infosys, he has worked in various roles and at different locations in India and abroad. Majority of his initial career was spent in the United States in various client facing engagements. He has also handled the Development Center Head responsibility for Infosys Mysore centre which has over 12,000 employees.
Prior to joining Infosys, he was working with Mukand Ltd, Mumbai. He is a Gold medalist from National Institute of Technology, Calicut.
Biswajit Mitra is currently Vice President – Operations at Jubilant Organosys, Nanjangud.
An outstanding Chemical Engineer with managerial excellence and having over two decades of industrial experience, he has handled senior management assignments like COO, Director and VP in various Indian and Multinational companies. He is a graduate first class Chemical Engineer from Applied Chemistry, Calcutta University, and first class honors degree in Chemistry, University of Calcutta.
He is the recipient of awards and recognitions from various Institutions like National Scholarship by Government of India, Distinguished Alumni Award by Calcutta University, IMEA Gold Award in 2008 by Frost and Sullivan, Indian Manufacturing Excellence Platinum Award in 2009 by The Economic Times.
Has worked in various capacities at Novartis Sandoz India Ltd, Nicholas India Piramal India Limited, Shasun Chemicals and Drugs Ltd, Dr. Reddy’s Labo-ratories prior to present assignment.
