Mysore, Mar. 29 (SH)- Noted litterateur and Retired Vice-Chancellor Prof. D. Javaregowda, who was to lead a hunger strike in city tomorrow over the controversy relating to transferring of land for the new Music University in Mysore, has postponed the stir by three months.
It is learnt, Deputy Commissioner P. Manivannan met Dejagow at his residence today and said that the government was in the process of taking a positive stand over the issue and that it would be resolved soon.
It may be mentioned, the Federation of Performing Artistes of Mysore, Patrons and Connoisseurs of Art had met recently and expressed its dismay about the delay in resolving the controversy relating to land near Varakodu village in the taluk.
In order to draw the attention of the district administration to the issue, the Federation had planned a stir.
