Despite the conclusion of polls yesterday, the candidates who had campaigned hard ahead of the polls, are in no mood to relax even now, as they wait anxiously about the outcome of the polls, with the counting scheduled for May 8.

Chamaraja Congress candidate and former Mayor Vasu, speaking to SOM this morning, said despite a strenous day yesterday, he woke up as usual this morning and had discussions with a stream of visitors including party workers who had gathered at his residence about the polling pattern.

There was nothing like rest or relaxation for him and he is busy meeting his friends, well-wishers and party workers.

Chamaraja JD(S) candidate H.S. Shankarlingegowda said he held talks with the party workers who had called on him at his residence this morning. He was in a relaxed mood, watching TV along with this supporters, he said. Expressing confidence that he was going to win, Shankarlingegowda said he had no anxiety now that the election is over.

N.R. Constituency JD(S) candidate Sandesh Swamy said it was not correct on his part to rest or relax after the polls. He had toured the constituency extensively seeking votes until the conclusion of polls and now taking rest once the polls were over, is not correct.

He would neither rest nor relax until the results were out, he added.

Chamundeshwari JD(S) candidate G.T. Devegowda said that he woke up at 5 am today and went to Bogadi to attend a funeral. He was going to attend a marriage at Yelwal later in the day. He has no time to relax, he added.

However, K.R. constituency KJP candidate H.V. Rajeev was learnt to be resting at his residence after days of hectic campaigning.
