MLC G. Madhusudhan has expressed confidence that the BJP would retain power in the State.

Addressing a press meet at a private hotel in the city this morning, Madhusudhan said Gujarat CM Narendra Modi’s speeches at Bangalore, Mangalore and Belgaum had a lot of influence on the electorate.

Pointing out that the State BJP was clean now after those indulged in corruption had quit the party, Madhusudan claimed that the party had distributed tickets to candidates with a clean image, while ignoring those who are facing corruption charges.

Alleging that the KJP was hand-in-glove with the Congress, Madhusudhan said this can be clearly seen in former CM B.S. Yeddyurappa’s and Dhananjaya Kumar’s utterances against the BJP and its leaders, while at the same time maintaining utter silence about Congress.

Replying to a question, Madhusudhan said that BJP was not averse to seeking apology from the people if it had committed mistakes. City BJP President M. Shivakumar, leaders M.Satish, M.V. Ravishankar and Bhanuprakash were present.
