Mysore, Mar. 12 (RK&SH)- Devaraja Police have taken into custody a thief near Dasappa Circle here on Mar. 8 and seized 14 mobikes and one auto-rickshaw stolen by him, all worth about Rs. 6.5 lakh.

The thief who has fallen into the Police net has been identified as Ijaz Pasha. He was caught by Crime Branch Police while found with a Hero Honda (KL 10 H7562) at about 5.15 pm on March 8 under suspicious circumstances. On questioning at the Police Station, his involvement in many acts of stealing vehicles came to light.

Based on clues provided by him that he had disposed of the stolen vehicles in Bannur, Pandavapura, Naguvanahalli and other places, Police seized 14 mobikes and one auto.

The owners of seized vehicles stolen by the thief may contact Devaraja Police Inspector, according to a notification from the Police Department.

In the action led by ACP V.A. Pujar, Devaraja Sub-Division, under the supervision of DCPs B.R. Ravikanthegowda and P. Rajendraprasad, the following staff took part:

Inspector Shanthamallappa, Sub-Inspector Venkataswamy, Constables Rukmoji Rao, Balasubramanya, Madukesh, Prakash, Veerabhadrappa, C. Mahesha and Rudrappa.
