Mysore, July 26 (KCU&RK)- MLA H.S. Shankaralingegowda had granted Rs. 3 lakh from the MLA's fund to K.R. Hospital for purchase of 20 wheel chairs and 20 stretchers. He handed over them to the hospital today.
Mysore Medical College and Research Institute Dean and Director Dr. D. Venkatesh, Principal Dr. Kaladagi, Liaison officer Dr. S.P. Yoganna, K.R. Hospital Superintendent Dr. Geetha K. Avadhani, RMO Dr. Vijaykumar, Doctors C. Rajan, Mohammed Ghouse Sharif, and others were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Shankaralingegowda lauded the efforts of the government to upgrade K.R. Hospital to a multi-speciality grade on par with any good private hospital.
"Jayadeva Cardiac Centre will be opened on Aug. 12. Mortuary has been developed at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh and a blood transporation van too has been procured. A cancer detection centre is getting started. I am prepared to offer some more from the MLA's fund and I anticipate a good response from donors too," said Shankaralingegowda.
