Mini Vidhana Soudha in city is all set for the much awaited inauguration as the works are on the verge of completion. Presently, there are a few minor works which have to be completed but otherwise the building is ready for the inauguration.
The opening of Mini Vidhana Soudha will see offices of various departments coming under one roof. Though the foundation stone was laid by Siddharamaiah when he was the Deputy Chief Minister, the construction was taken up in a slow pace.
Currently, people in Mysore district are facing a lot of problem as they have to run around from one office to another located in different parts of the city to get their work done. The Sub-Registrar's offices have been scattered at four different places in the city and people have to visit different offices to get the title deeds, land registration, marriage registration and mortgage registration done.
People of the district and city have been demanding that the Soudha be inaugurated soon.
This apart, various organisations have also held protests in front of Mini Vidhana Soudha building demanding for speedy completion of the construction works. Though the dates were announced for the inauguration of the building on many occasions, they were postponed due to various reasons.
Now since Chief Minister Siddharamaiah is from Mysore district, it is learnt that he has discussed about the completion of the building with the concerned officials and one can assume that the time for the inauguration of Mini Vidhana Soudha has finally come.
The shifting of various government offices to the new building saves a lot of money for the State Government, which is now spent on rents.
Siddharamaiah is all set to inaugurate the building. According to the sources, the officials of various departments are said to have informed the CM Siddharamaiah regarding Mini Vidhana Soudha being readied for inauguration. Only a time and date has to be fixed.
It is believed that Siddharamaiah would visit Mini Vidhana Soudha for an inspection before inauguration.
