Mysore, June 11 (DM)- Four women from the city, who were being treated in KR Hospital for injuries sustained in a bus accident in Nepal recently, are now shifted to Vikram Hospital in the ciry for further treatment.
The four women victims Mahadevi (39), a resident of Gayatripuram, Nagamma (20), a resident of Gonikoppal, J. Jayamma (51), a resident of Agrahara and Renuka (40), a resident of Gayatripuram, were admitted to K.R. Hospital on their arrival in the city from Bangalore yesterday morning.
On coming to know of their admission, Mayor Sandesh Swamy visited the hospital and sympathised with the victims. Later he contacted Vikram Hospital chief over phone and appealed for further treatment of the accident victims.
The Vikram Hospital authorities, agreeing to the appeal made by the Mayor, sent the hospital ambulance for shifting the injured from KR Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Mayor announced that he along with his associates would foot the medical expenses in case the district administration failed to do so. He said he would also make arrangements for implanting artificial hands to the victims who lost their hands in the accident.
