Mysore, Mar. 7 (KMC)- Following the revelation by the car driver of the sex-tainted Paramhamsa Nithyananda Swa-miji at a press conference in Chennai yesterday that it was he who had filmed the Swamiji in a compromising situation in his bedroom in Bidadi ashram and a complaint lodged with the Police, the Chennai Police have transferred the case to Karnataka Police.

Meanwhile, the Police are said have launched a manhunt for the elusive Swamiji, who is suspected to be hiding in Mysore, according to a Kannada TV channel. It is learnt that enquiries are being made at some ashrams, hotels and a few houses of the Swamiji's disciples in city.

When Star of Mysore spoke to the Police in this regard, DCP (Crime and Traffic) P. Rajendra Prasad clarified that the Mysore Police were not looking for the Swamiji. He also said that they were requested by any authority to locate the whereabouts of the Swamiji in city. "However, we have been receiving several telephone calls from the public in this regard," the DCP added.
