Mysore, Apr. 8 (MTY&SH)- Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa arrived in city by helicopter at 2 pm today to take part in the grand installation ceremony of the idols of Sri Lakshmi Venkatarama-naswamy (Balaji) and Sri Vara-haswamy at the site near Maruthi Temple in T.K. Layout here.

Sri Vishwesha Thirtha Swamiji, Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji, Sri Datta Vijayanada Thirtha Swamiji of Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Ashram, K.S. Eshwarappa, State BJP President, MLAs S.A. Ramdas and H.S. Shankaralingegowda, who is also the founder-President of Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple Trust, ex-MLA A.R. Krishna-murthy were among more than 2,000 devotees who had gathered at the venue to take part in the religious function.

The venue presented a festive look with troupes of folk arts including Nandi Kunita, Garudi Gombe, Veeragaase, Navilu Kunita and others performing. A huge pandal has been erected with a special stage on the vacant site near the Maruthi temple for the occasion.
