The district administration plans to construct Grade Separators at the four main entry points to the city, for which funds have been sought from the Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KUIDFC), said Deputy Commissioner Dr. Ramegowda.

He was speaking to reporters during an inspection of the Outer Ring Road and other amenities, along with KUIDFC Managing Director Darpan Jain and other officials on Thursday. The DC said that the Finance Corporation had given the nod for granting funds for the proposed Grade Separators and other projects including completion of Outer Ring Road, Raja Marga and the Rs. 197 crore water distribution remodelling project.

The team of officials also inspected the under-construction Ambedkar Bhavan, electric crematorium, storm water drain and the group houses being built by Karnataka Slum Clearance Board.

Upon finding that the Outer Ring Road portion at Hebbal was being delayed and now stopped, the MUDA officials explained that the contractor was responsible for the delay. The contractor KMC Reddy was immediately relieved of the contract and it was decided to complete the work by MUDA itself.

The DC also directed the officials to plant dwarf plants on the dividers all along the Ring Road.
