Mysore City Traffic Police have imposed restrictions on the vehicle movement towards Chamundi Hill on Ashada Fridays in the months of July and August and on the day of Sri Chamundeshwari Vardhanti on July 28.

The traffic restrictions are imposed all Ashada Fridays — on July 12, 19, 26 and Aug. 2. Movement of vehicles to Chamundi Hill from Tavarekatte, Nandi road, Uttanahalli road and Indus Valley Road has been restricted (except for KSRTC buses).

Devotees are instructed to park their vehicles on the southwest side of Lalitha Mahal Helipad. Devotees travelling from Lalithadripura to Chamundi Hill are instructed to take the Lalithadripura main road and reach the helipad to park their vehicles. Those travelling from Uttanahalli road to Chamundi Hill are instructed to reach Helipad passing through Nanjangud Road, Race Course Circle, Boulevard Circle, Kurabarahalli Circle and park their vehicle on the southwest side of the Helipad as per the instructions of the Police deployed at the spot.

Transportation arrangements have been made by KSTRC to take the devotees to Chamundi Hill on all these days. Devotees will be picked from the parking lot at the Helipad and will be dropped at the KSTRC bus stop atop Chamundi Hills and later will be dropped back at the parking lot. The restrictions are not application for VIP vehicle movement. The Police Department has requested the public to co-operate with the department.
