For one week, lakhs of people across the country will come together to celebrate Entrepreneurship Week India with the theme “Innovating for India.” Designed to build public awareness and support for entrepreneurship, E-Week India focuses public attention on today's biggest opportunities and encourages participants to reflect on their role as leaders and innovators.
The campaign is led by the National Entrepreneurship Network and supported by the Wadhwani Foundation.
At VVCE: As part of E-Week celebrations, Vidya Vardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) has organised various programmes including public events, workshops, flash mob, floodlight cricket, mega job mela and village extravaganza. The job mela, open for students of all streams, will be held at college premises on Feb. 10 and 11.
The E-Week celebrations will be inaugurated by Varun Agarwal, Founder and CEO, Alma Matter, Bangalore, on Feb. 9 at 8.30 am at Sahukar Chennaiah Auditorium at the college premises. Vidyavardhaka Sangha President Gundappa Gowda, Secretary P.Vishwanath and VVCE Principal Dr.B. Sadashivegowda will be present on the occasion.
At NIE: Onyx, the Entrepreneurship Cell of National Institute of Engineering (NIE), will also be celebrating E-Week from Feb. 9 to 15 under the National Entrepreneurship Network.
The highlights of the E-Week celebrations are:
1. Big Fight: Panel discussion involving the greatest minds in the field of the chosen topic 'Old School Business v/s New Age Start-ups';
2. Greenathon: A mega cycle rally creating awareness about green energy and sustainable development projects taken up by the NIE Center for Renewable Energies and Sustainable Technologies. Police Commissioner Dr. K.L. Sudheer will flag off the rally on Feb. 10 from NIE campus;
3. Campus Ventures: The entrepreneurship of students of the E-Cell is showcased when the ventures taken up by the students will see a formal launch;
4. E-Talks: Various entrepreneurs from several parts of the country share their experiences with budding entrepreneurs.
