Robokul Inc., a Bangalore-based fast growing favourite among Robotics Centres, conducted an introductory demo workshop at Excel Public School here on Nov. 3.

Students of grade 5 and 6 along with teachers and Principal Mathew attended the demo. An interactive presentation called The Robotics World kept the children engaged with real world stories, facts and use of robots in the world. They also saw some real robots in action.

The founders of Robokul, Raghudeep and Sreekala, who were present, handled a fun filled question round.

After the Session, Harsha, a student brought out a wired battery car he had built and said he wanted to make it a 'Robot Sensor driven car.'

"Robotics in education is an integral part of learning as it is an umbrella of subjects involved. It is one of the few very efficient avenues where students get to apply the concepts learnt at school. That way they would never forget what they learn," said Raghudeep, himself a specialist in Industrial Robots and Automation. The Robokul Team also visited the activity place "The Learning Centre" at the HIVE. Robokul speci-alises in conducting Robotics workshops for children from the age of 6-17.
