For the benefit of visitors, all Dasara venues and tourist spots in city would have mobile health clinics manned by a doctor and a paramedic.

This was disclosed by Dr. G.M. Vamdev, Distict Surgeon and Secretary, Dasara Arogya Sub-Committee at a programme organised by the Sub-Committee at MCC Council Hall to mark the launch of its publicity vehicle IEM (Information, Education, Communication) this morning.

The IEM vehicle was launched by Mayor N.M Rajeshwari at MCC premises. The launch programme was inaugurated by MLC Dharmasena.

Briefing the gathering on the activities under Arogya Dasara, Dr. Vamdev said that a Health Help-line 0821-2418816/10/12 and Mob: 94498-41196 has been activated to help the tourist and the general public to address health-related problems. He added that a health camp would be held for the senior citizens at Government Employees Association on Dhanvantri Road on Oct. 6, a Tobacco de-addiction camp for inmates for prison on Oct. 8 and a T.B. Screening camp and Family planning camp at Vaidya Bhavan in Nazarbad on Oct. 9 and 10.

He further added that health-related cultural programmes would be held at tourist spots from today till Oct. 12 between 7 pm and 8 pm.

MCC Commissioner P.G. Ramesh, Asst. Commissioner Girish Prasad, Corporators and office-bears of Arogya Dasara Sub-Committee were present.
