Mysore, May 2 (KK&DM)- The day-long cultural fusion of all the Jaycees of Karnataka — Zone XIV, XV and XXIV— termed JCI Karnataka Sangama, was launched at Jaganmohan Palace in city this morning.
Sawalchand Salecha of Mahalakshmi Agencies, Mysore, inaugurated the Sangama by lighting the traditional lamp.
Speaking on the occasion, Salecha said a disciplined society will emerge by educating the youth and thereby creating awareness amongst them.
"The JCI has been actively involved in educating the youth by carrying out intensive personality development campaigns. The JCI's campaign is a good effort made for betterment of the society," he added.
Jc. M. Murali Shyam, Chairman, Karnataka Sangama, EVP JCI India, Jc. T.N. Devaraj, President, Zone-XIV, Jc. Uday Kumar Shetty, President, Zone-XV and JCI Sen. Lathik D. Shetty, President, Zone-XXIV were present.
JCI Mysore Royal City President Jay Salecha welcomed. Project Director Jc. Amarchand Jain proposed a vote of thanks. Secretary Jc. Praveen Lunkar was present.
More than 1200 JCI members representing 40 JCI chapters from across the State are taking part in this day-long Sangama.
Many fun-filled entertainment and enjoyment programmes and contests have been organised. Three prizes have been instituted and the Best Chapter will win the first prize of Rs. 10,000. The second and third prize winners will receive a cash prize of Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 2,000 respectively.
LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd., is the main sponsor while Bhandari Pharma, Nanda Electronics and Vee. Ess. Industries are co-sponsors. M.S. Corporation, Rajashree Pharma, Navkar Motors and Hindustan Enterprises are the food sponsors.
