The much-awaited CAVA Mela began at CAVA premises on Sayyaji Rao Road here yesterday. The Mela was inaugurated by Mayor N.M. Rajeshwari.
Students have displayed various art pieces at the venue created using their creativity. Students of all six departments at CAVA are participating in the Mela.
Students have displayed their art works on themes such as water conservation, promoting usage of mosquito net instead of mosquito coils, etc. They have also created a model to create awareness on endangered animals and birds. Models of animals such as tiger, leopard and other endangered birds and animals are also on display.
This apart, there are puppets, tattoos, painting done by special children, sculptures, greetings done using paper pulps, on display at the two-day Mela.
Students took out a rally to mark the commencement of CAVA Mela which passed through Sayyaji Rao Road, Dhanvanthri Road and culminated at CAVA premises. Students were seen dancing throughout the rally and also at the college premises. The CAVA Mela will conclude today.
CAVA Dean V.A. Deshpande, Kuncha Kavya Samskrithika Samithi Secretary C. Praveen Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
