Chief Minister Siddharamaiah today released the Dasara- 2013 posters, Gold Cards and other publicity materials related to Dasara festivities at Hotel Lalitha Mahal Palace in city.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government has released special fund of Rs. 19 crore to the Mysore City Corporation (MCC) based on a proposal by it.

Attributing the delay in Dasara-related works and their slow progress due to rains in the past few weeks, Siddharamaiah assured that all Dasara works will be completed on time.

Entry tax: The CM also assured that the levying of entry tax on tourist vehicles coming from outside the State, in the limits of Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Mandya and Kodagu districts will be temporarily lifted for a month in view of Dasara. He spoke to the Transport Department Secretary over the phone on the spot and directed him to implement the tax exemption on tourist vehicles.

When asked about the constitution of an exclusive Dasara Authority, Siddharamaiah said that the government is mulling on the proposal.

He also said that the government was preparing a blueprint on the formation of a Tourism Circuit to further promote tourism.

Referring to the proposed bullet train, Siddaramaiah said that the train will first run between Mysore and Bangalore.

On his arrival, at the Lalitha Mahal helipad, the CM was received by Mayor N.M. Rajeshwari and senior officers of District Administration.
