Mysore, Mar. 31 (SH)- Days after the Weather Department had said that the region would get its first rain of the year, the city received showers from early hours today. Some parts of the city were drenched from midnight. The rains across the city, accompanied by mild winds, brought down the ambient temperature by a few degrees.

Light drizzle continued to drench several areas of the city after a respite for about an hour at daybreak. Vendors of vegetables, milk distributors and early office-goers experienced inconvenience to some extent as a result of the drizzle this morning.

Unlike the past few weeks that greeted the residents with bright sun, they had to settle with cloudy skies. The inclement weather is likely to continue throughout today and tomorrow, according to weather experts.
