A one-day workshop on ‘Doing Business With Social Media’ has been organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mysore on July 26 at Hotel Pai Vista in city.
The influence of social media networking sites like Facebook and Twitter in branding, marketing, development of products and services is growing as lakhs of new people are taking to social networking every day. With over 6 crore Indians already using social media actively, business (and organisations) of all sizes, sectors and purposes, find it important to know how to make use of the explosion of social media for business.
However, it is not just about technology. What can really determine the long term and meaningful success of social media are strategic, managerial and creative capabilities that are required to evolve and execute unique social action plans.
In this context, CII Mysore is organising the workshop on “Social Media" from 9.30 am to 5 pm on Friday.
The workshop would equip participants to think business when they think social media - or how social tools can help one achieve his business goals.
The participants will be presented with the big picture of the seemingly simple consumerism of IT and the potential of social media in co-creation and crowd sourcing of entire business value.
At the end of the workshop, participants will know how to evolve an end-to-end social co-creation strategy exclusively for their own organisations to address their immediate and long term business challenges by collaborating with external stakeholders like customers.
The workshop will be based on P6 ideation framework, developed by Younomy, a social business consulting firm. The workshop will have exclusive sessions on six aspects or steps involved in evolving a social business or organisational strategy, and converting the strategy into action by planning for human and IT resources.
The workshop will be conducted by G. Sankaranarayanan, Managing Partner, Younomy Consulting Services, and Publisher & Editor, India CoCreates, an online magazine.
