“Though the 134 page report submitted by Regional Commissioner M.V.Jayanthi on the delisting of some of about 2000 acres of land in various Survey numbers at Allanahalli, Kurubarahalli and Chowdahalli villages in Kasaba hobli of Mysore taluk has clearly vindicated my stand that the June 6, 2012 order of the former Deputy Commissioner P.S.Vastrad was illegal, I have urged Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar to order a Lokayukta or CBI probe into the alleged scam to expose the hidden hands behind the case”, said MLC G.Madhusudan here this morning.
Addressing a press conference at Patrakarthara Bhavan in city, he lauded the efforts of the Regional Commissioner for having prepared the report in about four months after going through 578 pages of documents to find that Vastrad’s delisting orders were made unlawfully.
Madhusudan also disclosed that he had sought CBI or Lokayukta inquiry only to expose the role of unseen hands beyond Vastrad’s action as the panel had not probed the involvement of vested interests in the alleged scam as the minimum cost of the involved land is about Rs. 10,000 crore and the market value ranging between Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000 crore and declared that his primary concern was to preserve the said lands as Green Zone.
