A Vocal concert by Sudarshan Ajay Tirumalai has been organised by Ganabharathi at Veene Seshanna Bhavana, Kuvempunagar, on Aug. 18 at 6 pm.

He will be accompanied by Vidu. M. A. Jyothi on Violin, Vid. S. Kumaraswamy on Mridanga and Vid. V. S. Ramesh on Morching. The concert is open to all.

Profile: A resident of Boston, USA, Master Sudarshan Ajay Tirumalai, a child prodigy, began learning music as early as 4 years of age. A student of Anubhava School of Music at Boston, Sudarshan has participated in music workshops conducted by music stalwarts Dr. R. K. Srikanthan, Vid. T. N. Seshagopalan and Vid. S. Shankar and has gained advanced expertise in his vocal talent due to this unique exposure.

He has performed solo concerts at Boston and Bangalore. He has performed at Nirantara Sangeeta and Nrityotsava, Bangalore, Ananya, Jaya Rama SevaMandali, Jayanagar Rama Mandira, Indian Institute of world culture and Sankara TV.Tirumalai is one of the few students selected across USA to participate in the prestigious Cleveland Aradhana festival.

He is an expert in Mridangam playing too tutored by Guru Vid. Praveen Seetharam and Vid. K. U. Jayachandra Rao of Bangalore, according to a press release from Dr. T. P. Krishnakantha, Joint Secretary, Ganabharathi.
