“Dedication and perseverance pays rich dividends in any sector,” opined MLA Vasu.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a programme organised by Bankers’ Recreation Club at its premises in Sharadadevi Nagar here yesterday to present Prathibha Purskara to students who had come out with flying colours in SSLC exam.
Vasu pointed out that a wrong notion persisted in society that only those students who have passed CET and got seats in medical and engineering colleges were intelligent.
He said that many graduates who passed UPSC exams have occupied plum positions in the country. He advised the students to choose a career in which they have interest and aptitude.
Canara Bank Circle Office DGM Dr. S.T. Ramachandra lauded the Club for not just focussing on recreation activities but also for recognising and rewarding meritorious students. He advised the students to develop the habit of reading newspapers every day.
